HOW IS GUARDIAN JIU-JITSU DIFFERENT?
You have many choices when it comes to selecting a martial arts gym. Here's why you should consider Guardian:
First -- at Guardian Jiu-Jitsu, we believe that training martial arts can help students succeed not only in the martial arts, but also “off the mat” in others areas of life.
Our unique character development curriculum includes 16 specific virtues. These lessons gives your child insights that they can apply in martial arts, but also at school and at home.
Our experienced coaching team, led by Kevin Irwin, collectively has 60+ years of BJJ & kickboxing experience. Plus, our Jiu-Jitsu program is affiliated under Misho Ceko, a Chicago-based Ralph Gracie black belt who has been training for 20+ years.
You can be confident that each class you attend will be led by a passionate, experienced, and friendly coach.
Third -- in June 2019, we opened our "dream facility", outfitted with premium 2" Zebra-brand MMA mats, and enough space to accommodate all of our recent growth.
Our 3,700 square foot facility is conveniently located in Holland Town Center, behind Nelis' Dutch Village. You'll enjoy plenty of easy parking and amenities, plus training on premium mats which are very forgiving for grapplers!

REACH YOUR POTENTIAL...
...On And Off The Mat!
We believe that training martial arts can help students succeed not only in the martial arts, but also “off the mat” in others areas of life.
Our character development curriculum includes 16 specific virtues. These lessons gives your child insights that they can apply in martial arts, but also at school and at home.
As of February 2020, we are updating our curriculum to be based on the "Education in Virtue" program created by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist (Ann Arbor, Michigan).
We're very excited to integrate aspects of this program into our kids classes. A focus on cultivating virtue helps bring out the best in our coaches, students and parent community. Plus, a positive team atmosphere helps make training more FUN!
